The Worship & Arts Ministry of East Cobb Presbyterian Church

Our Philosophy of Corporate Worship
Here at East Cobb Presbyterian Church, our Sunday morning worship service exist to bring glory and honor to God by worshiping Him in spirit and in truth. We seek to do this through hymns of tradition, songs of praise, confessions, the reading of Scripture, traditional creeds and prayers of the reformed faith, and the preached Word of God.

Our Belief About Worship
God calls us to a lifestyle of worship, not just a "once a week" gathering.

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night." (Psalm 1:1-2)

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship." (Romans 12:1)

The Sunday Morning Service is a vital element of worship. During this time, we seek to devote ourselves "to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread and to prayer." (Acts 2:42)

"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25)

Our Style Of Worship
Our musical style at East Cobb is what we call "blended". What does blended mean? It simply means, we value new melodies and contemporary texts, but also cherish the richness and depth of traditional hymns.
